After a long, long hiatus, UNION has a brand-new update: v0.3!

To compensate for a lack of updates, this new update is jam-packed with new content to further enrich the playing experience. Just a sliver of the new features includes:

New Story Update: The story continues with the Wanderer making their way to the massive city of Bastius, in search of another shrine. During their journey, they'll encounter new allies, trek through the snowswept northern area of Archi, and delve into the depths of the militaristic city.

New Characters: The new story update introduces three new major characters: ex-captain of the Bastius Military, Tercero, medic and sister of the Bastius Church, Vita, and fellow sister and professional dancer, Jubilee. 

Overworld Enemies: Most enemies will no longer appear as random encounters, but roam the overworld. You can choose to fight them or outmaneuver them, or even keep them at bay with the new Repel item which can be created in the Alchemy lab at Valdan. Only enemies that need to be found for quests will be random encounters at specific locations.

Bonds: A new system that tracks the bonds you have with other characters you meet. The more time you spend with them, the more battles you fight, and the choices you make can either raise or lower their bond. Once it reaches a certain threshold, it will lead to...

Character Quests: These new quests with characters you meet give greater insight into their lives, their personalities, and their ambitions. Completing them will further strengthen their bond and (later down the line) lead to further quests and new attacks.

Overhauled Cutscenes: Cutscenes now have a new flavor to them, with more important scenes having a dynamic background that disappears according to actions.

Balance Changes: With new enemies comes new attacks and skills, and older ones have been changed to balance out difficulty. Enemy levels are scaled according to the average level of the player and party, and vary from area to area.

There are many more changes that are waiting to be discovered, and I hope that you'll enjoy everything UNION has to offer. It was a long wait, but I hope it'll be worth it. Enjoy UNION v0.3!
